Contemporary house update

Planning & Building Regulation permission granted on split level mid-century house

Carrying out a retrofit and renovation on an individual mid-century home can be tricky. With the house also being split level and in a prime position, the challenge can be even greater. But we think we have nailed it with this sympathetic upgrade and remodel that has just been granted Panning and Building Regulation consent.

The proposal will see the external appearance of the property enhanced whilst considerably upgrading the insulated fabric of the building. Despite the extensive work, the property will not increase in floor area, but will benefit from improvements that include among other changes, opening up the kitchen to the living room to create an 11m long room, combining two bedrooms to form a master suite and bringing a redundant balcony back into use.
